The starting point
The challenge.
Activewear is dominated by big brands with large budgets. A new store needed to find searches where a small Australian brand could compete, such as specific products and buyer questions.
What we did
The work.
- Full Shopify build with product variants, inventory and store policies
- Around 180 blog posts targeting buyer questions and product searches
- Search Console verified and sitemap submitted, with 116 pages indexed by September
- A 16-email welcome and follow-up sequence for subscribers
Lessons
What it shows.
For a new store, visibility comes before clicks. Impressions grew seven times and the store now appears for three times as many searches, but most of those positions are still on page two or three.
The next step is moving the best-performing collection and article pages into the top 10, where clicks happen. We show the drop in clicks here because honest reporting matters more than a perfect chart.
