The starting point
The challenge.
Construction recruitment in Perth is competitive, and most agencies rely on job boards. The site needed to rank for two audiences at once: employers looking for labour hire and recruitment, and tradespeople looking for work.
It started as a new domain with no rankings, no content and no links.
What we did
The work.
- Keyword research covering more than 1,350 employer and candidate searches
- 21 core pages for services, trades and Perth areas, plus 460 articles answering real questions
- A clear structure: 10 blog categories, a dropdown navigation menu and footer links to key pages
- Speed work with LiteSpeed Cache: CSS and JavaScript minified, lazy loading, WebP images and a cleaned database
- Google Analytics 4 and Search Console set up from the start, plus a working contact form and a custom 404 page
Lessons
What it shows.
Steady publishing around real searches compounds. Impressions grew first, then average position improved, then clicks followed.
The next gains come from indexing. At the last check, Google had indexed about 412 pages and not yet indexed many others, so internal linking and improving thinner pages is the current focus.
