Reviews usually stop because nobody is asking, not because customers are unhappy. A simple, repeatable habit gets them flowing again. If reviews have disappeared from your profile, that's a separate problem with its own fixes.
If nobody is asking
- Make asking part of finishing every job, like cleaning up.
- Send your review link by SMS the same day.
- Put a QR code on your invoice and your business card.
- Ask the whole team to do it, not just the owner.
- Track how many you ask each week, and how many leave one.
If reviews have disappeared
- Google's spam filters sometimes remove reviews they think break the rules, such as several from the same place or reviews written right after a link was shared widely.
- Reviews posted from brand-new Google accounts are more likely to be filtered.
- Check that you haven't offered anything in return for reviews, which breaks Google's policies.
- If genuine reviews keep disappearing, contact Business Profile support.
Keep it steady
A few reviews every week looks more natural, and is better for your profile, than a burst once a year.
