Google verifies a Business Profile to confirm the business is real and run by you. Until it's verified, the profile is only visible to you and won't appear in search or Maps.
The verification options
Google chooses which methods to offer you based on your business type and location. You may see one or more of these:
- Video recording. A short continuous video showing your location or vehicle, branded equipment, and proof you can manage the business, such as opening a cash register or business software.
- Live video call with a Google support person.
- Phone or text code.
- Email code.
- Postcard mailed to the business address.
Tips for video verification
- Record in one continuous take. Don't cut or edit the video.
- Start outside: show the street, nearby landmarks or your branded vehicle.
- Show something only the business owner could access, such as unlocking your premises or opening your job management app.
- For service-area businesses, show the vehicle, tools and signage rather than your home.
"No more ways to verify"
This message usually appears after several failed attempts or when Google needs more information. Wait a few days, make sure your name, address and category follow Google's guidelines, then try again or contact Google Business Profile support from your profile manager.
Once you're verified, follow our Business Profile checklist to set it up properly. If verification keeps failing, we can help.
