Google reviews some Business Profile edits before publishing them, and rejects changes that look risky or don't match other information it has. Most problems come from name, address and category changes.
Common reasons edits get rejected
- Keywords added to the business name. Use your real name only. See name rules.
- Address changes that don't match signage, your website or other listings
- Category changes that don't fit what you actually do
- Lots of edits at once, which can trigger re-verification
- Information that conflicts with your website or directories
What to do
- Make sure your website shows the same name, address and phone as your edit.
- Make one change at a time and wait for it to publish.
- Be ready to re-verify, especially after an address change. See verification.
- If an edit keeps failing, contact Business Profile support from your profile's help menu with evidence, such as a utility bill, signage photo or business registration.
