Seasonal marketing calendar for Perth trades

Perth's seasons drive demand for most trades. Hot, dry summers bring air conditioning and pool work; wet winters bring leaks, blocked drains and gutters. The trick is to prepare your marketing a season before the demand arrives.

Summer (December to February)

  • Peak: air conditioning repairs and installs, pools, reticulation faults, pest control.
  • Do: post availability on your Business Profile, answer every call, collect reviews while you're busy.
  • Plan: the Christmas and New Year slowdown. Update your hours on Google.

Autumn (March to May)

  • Peak: renovations, painting, landscaping before winter.
  • Do: publish gutter cleaning and roof check reminders before the rain.
  • Plan: winter content and pages for leak and drain work.

Winter (June to August)

  • Peak: roof leaks, blocked drains, heating, electrical faults.
  • Note: the winter sprinkler switch-off runs from 1 June to 31 August each year for scheme and bore water users in Perth, Mandurah and parts of the South West and Great Southern, so reticulation work quietens. See the Water Corporation.
  • Do: build pages and fix your Business Profile while it's quieter.

Spring (September to November)

  • Peak: landscaping, turf, reticulation start-up, aircon servicing before summer.
  • Do: send servicing reminders to past customers, publish summer prep articles.
  • Plan: make sure summer service pages are ranking now.
