If your website gets visitors but few calls or forms, the problem is usually one of three things: the wrong visitors, a site that doesn't build trust quickly, or a contact process that's harder than it should be. Each can be checked and fixed.
1. Are the right people finding you?
- Check Search Console for the searches bringing visitors. If they're unrelated to what you sell, your pages are targeting the wrong terms.
- Make sure each service and area you want work from has its own page. See service pages that rank.
- If you get very little traffic at all, the problem is visibility, not conversion. Start with why your site isn't showing on Google.
2. Does the site build trust in five seconds?
- A clear headline that says what you do and where
- Real photos of your work and team, not stock images. See real photos vs stock.
- Reviews, licence details and years in business near the top
- Prices or price ranges, so visitors know you're in their budget. See showing prices online.
3. Is contacting you easy?
- Tap-to-call phone number at the top of every page on mobile
- A short form: name, phone or email, and what they need. See forms that get enquiries.
- A call to action on every page, not just the contact page
- Test that the form actually sends. Broken forms are more common than you'd think.
4. Is the site fast and working on phones?
Most local searches happen on a phone. A slow or broken mobile site loses visitors before they read anything. See website speed.
5. Are you measuring enquiries?
Track form submissions and phone clicks so you can see which pages bring enquiries. See GA4 for small business and conversion rate.
